I'm Guilty of Loving Gucci: Gucci Guilty Eau de Toilette - Makeup and Beauty Blog

I acknowledge it. I have a guilty Gucci censor, and I've had it for years.

It all started with Gucci Envy back in 1999. I was a young 20-something lass living it up in San Francisco, you know, working for the weekends, and I wore Green-eyed near every solar day until my sketchy kleptomaniac roommate swiped the bottle from my room (I guess it really did cause some envy).

That'southward around the time I moved, and when I did, I changed more than apartments and roommates; I besides inverse fragrances, switching to Gucci Rush.

I remember information technology well considering I rushed (haha!) to Sephora to buy a bottle of information technology on my lunch break the day it came out.

Fast forward 10 years. I live in the suburbs now, well-nigh thirty minutes from San Francisco, and one of my roommates is a true cat, merely Gucci still occupies my mind (and space on my fragrance shelf).

Lately I've been spending time with yet another Gucci scent, the new Gucci Guilty ($75 for a 1.7oz eau de toilette), and I wonder what milestones this one will marking.

Mayhap I'll exist wearing information technology when I buy that winning lottery ticket or (gulp!) learn I'1000 gonna be a mom. 🙂 Who knows? For at present, I'll just enjoy it for what information technology is — a low-cal floral oriental with mandarin orangish and pinkish peppercorn superlative notes, a lilac and lavender centre and a base of amber and musk.

Its bister base notes remind me of Lady Meg but in a much more restrained, refined mode.

Not to say that Lady Million's a fragrance for harlots, simply I recollect it is spicier. Gucci Guilty'south floral notes give it a softer texture. If Lady Million'south what you'd wearable out on the town to look for love in all the wrong places, and then Gucci Guilty's what you'd article of clothing to work at your dream task.

I recollect I love Gucci Guilty, just here'south the thing: it doesn't terminal long. Four, maybe five hours, tops. Granted, information technology's an eau de toilette, and then that didn't come as a big surprise, but girls who like to spritz and become early in the forenoon will find it doesn't concluding throughout the day. Perhaps the matching Shower Gel ($42), Trunk Lotion ($fifty) and/or Shimmer Powder ($xl) would help lock the fragrance down.

Hmm… Part of me feels the limited wear fourth dimension is a blessing in disguise. Maybe with Guilty I might might actually stop my first bottle of perfume!
